Ion exchange resin is used in water softening system for Ca+,Mg+ and other cation exchange.To prevent undissolved salt from depositing in the surface of reverse osmosis membrane ,the resin which ensures well permeable ability of membrane module after it works a long time and extends lifetime of membranes , enhances quality stability of ro purified water . Water softener is vertical structure which use frp material , produced as vessel standard, designed pressure for 8kg/cm2 that American auto valve is used for full-automatic salt regeneration .
Introduction
Fiest, with strong-acid out from raw water, outlet water is relative softener water cation resin, Mg+ and Ca+ are exchanged out from raw water. Thus, water softener out from water softener is relative softer water. In this phase,Chemical reaction is 2RNa+Ca+(mg2+)=R2Ca(mg)+2Na+.The resin must be regenerated when it had adsorbed enough Ca+, Mg+, With 2%-5% strong salt water (with flow rate of 6/m/h), it exchanges out Ca+,Mg+from the resin, then whose ability of ion exchange will be recovered. In this step, the chemical reaction is: R2Ca+2Na+=2RN+Ca2+. At ast,discharging waste water.
Four key steps for the whole regeneration:
1. Backwashing-to loose resin layer
2. Slow-washing for salt suction---exchange-reaction
3. Flushing-Flushing away Ca+, Mg+exchanged out from chemical reaction
4. Filling water - for next regeneration
