Hubei Huagui Food Group has four limited companies, Hubei Huagui Food Co., Ltd., Hubei Huagui Drinks Co., Ltd., Hubei Huagui Import & Export Trade Co., Ltd., and Honghu Huagui Seafood Co., Ltd., a professional cooperative association and an engineering technology research center. It is a modern agricultural group company majoring in cultivation, R&D, processing, storage, sales and full-chain services of aquatic vegetables (freshwater fish category). Occupying an area of 200 mu, the factory has over 1200 employees, and the registered capital is 340 million. The parent company Hubei Huagui Food Group is titled Provincial Key Leading Enterprise, National High-Tech Enterprise and National Enterprise of "Keeping Promise & Honoring Contracts".
Huagui Group was established in 2006, and has been implementing the philosophy of "mutual creation, mutual sharing". Specializing in aquatic vegetables since 2012, it has now obtained an annual output of 50 thousand tons of aquatic vegetables and freshwater fish such as processed lotus sprouts and lotus seed, and an annual output value over 1 billion.
Following the industrialized mode of "company+base+cooperative association+farmer", based on the scientific research center, Huagui Group advocates the order-based agriculture, provides quality breeds, implements standardized production and carries out purchases with protective prices. Currently, the Group has incorporated more than 10,000 households, and obtained a comprehensive 40000-mu cultivation farm featuring "lotus with fish" which contributes to the net profit per mu over 6,000 RMB, an amount three times of that of normal cultivation. This endeavor alone has brought local farmers an annual revenue of 180 million RMB.
The Honghu Lotus Sprout, Honghu Wild Lotus Juice and Honghu Water Chestnut of Huagui Group are famed as "Three Treasures of Honghu", and over 20 products of these three series are widely marketed throughout China. Especially, "Honghu Household" Honghu Lotus Sprout (Pickled) was certified by National Green Food in 2014 and honored as "notable brand of Hubei Province". The Group has also won many awards from China International Agricultural Product Trade Fair and China Green Food Exposition and was honored by China Protect of Geological Service Center in 2015. Honghu Wild Lotus Juice and Honghu Water Chestnut are well-received by customers from home and abroad.
